I am working on a machine that will be shipped to France. Does anyone know what is the standard phrase for EMERGENCY STOP used on French equipment?

Also, normally e-stop is a red mushroom push button on a yellow background circle. Is this color scheme sufficient to indicate the PB as e-stop? Thanks

Usually:
Arrêt d'urgence
but as it is safety, I would wait for a natural born Frenchman..

Actually it will depend on the machine in question. Different machine systems have different requirements for size of the actuator, labeling, guarding, actuation, release etc.

For instance; EN 418, EN 60947-1, EN 60947-5-1, EN 60947-5-4, EN 60947-5-5.... The list goes on.
