EMD 567 Impeller Removal

Does anyone have any tips on removing a 567C water pump impeller without using an impeller puller?

Try some heating with a gas torch on the impeller center area and immediately afterward use a cold water shock on the shaft. Should break it loose. Probably been Loctited originally.
