My problem is I have this embankement for railway plataform builded up with silty soil (Plasticity index around 18%)compacted on the dry side of the Proctor curve that risks to be wet by short term submersion during a flood.

I need to colect undisturbed samples and acess the resistance and deformability for several moisture contents (diferent from the original)in order to simulate progressivelly wet conditions.

I would like to make CU and UU triaxial tests but how can I control the humidity of the samples? Specially in the CU tests have you ever done CU tests with partially saturated samples?
