I previously posted this over at CR4. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
-What is the approx. lumen output(range) of electroluminescent lighting/strips? I have searched elsewhere and have had no luck...thank you.
-also, I understand color temperature, but is it related to lumens?! any help would be greatly appreciated!
-I've found an answer to my own question. 2-3 lumens per watt(i have seen greater output per watt). But it is spread out over a large area. Does any one know of a photometric measurement which can predict the lumen output compared to an incandescent bulb? I understand that the self-induced phosphoresence is at a difference wavelength and frequency...I have noticed in personal experiments that the acquisition of EL at long ranges is much better than incandescent(almost 5 times better). Even with smoke, debris(dust), and fog it can be acquired as much as 3 times earlier than incandescent. Maybe the EL light is perceived(by the eye) differently than incandescent so the lumens do not ever matter!?!? Thanks...
