Can anyone direct me to a source where all electrical symbols are displayed and identified. This would be a benefit for understanding the difference between the european symbol standards (eplan) and the North American standard (promis.e)

The main source publication for US symbol is the latest version of the IEEE Std 315 -1997, "Graphic Symbols for Electrical and Electronics Diagrams (Including Reference Designation Letters) "
For relays and meter representation on the IEEE Std C37.2. “IEEE Standard Electrical Power System Device Function Numbers and Contact Designations”

Sample of CADD package symbol you may find at:

See also the enclose thread242-22239

Be advised that Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) among other government or private utilities have their own symbols before this standard was originally published.

NOTE: I understand that there is a publication with the equivalent symbols between the IEEE/ANSI and IEC.
If you should find any good reference, please let us know.
