I am in need of a simple field test for determining the contact resistance of probes/pins being used in electrical resistivity investigations. I need to determine the contact resistance between the probe/pin and the surrounding earth material. This would apply to the non-automated type of resistivity meter. I am certain there is a way to do this using a typical multimeter/DVM, or perhaps a Megger(tm). Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

Sincerely,
Rockjoint
