Good morning,
I've come across an issue in the field where a welder used a 1" sw 3000# elbolet in place of a 1" sw 3000# latrolet on a straight run of piping.
Besides the obvious flow restrictions (which in this case are very negligble), I haven't found anything in B31.3 that says this can't be done as long as the reinforcement is adequate--which it is.
So if flow restriction is negligble, and the reinforcement is to code, is it acceptable? or should I contact the supplier?
