Hello,

my question regards fatigue of elastomeric bearings under cyclic load in compression and shear combined. The only comprehensive document I found regarding fatigue is the NCHRP report 298 (1987) and still they cannot make any statement for this loading situation. On the other hand their research is limited to fatigue tests separately in shear or in compression.

Also EN1337-3 considers fatigue only for compression.[sad]

Anybody was ever troubled with this problem or has any suggestions?
