Hi,
any experiances with 2-ETHYLHEXIL NITRATE and its thermal runaway?
How calculate safety device for?

I don't have experience with that chemical, but if you know the reaction process you should be able to calculate how long it'd take for the reaction to reach the vessel MAWP and determine the relief rate.

In somewhat similar cases, we've used a relief valve to capture the more mundane overpressure scenarios and installed a separate rupture disc (in parallel) to relieve a runaway reaction.
 
The calculation, design and evaluation of relief systems to protect equipment undergoing runaway reactions is complex.

This is a serious matter that should be undertaken only by experienced engineers and not by newbies using only internet bulletin boards for guideance.

Because of the both the complexity and significance of this design task , the AICHe has developed what is called "DIERS methodologies".
