Effects of negative and positive pressure in tunnel sewer drop shaft

I am looking at a very large diameter tunnel connected via a vortex drop circa 700mm diameter. There are connected venting lines that also channel water in times of extreme events.
How will pressure fluctuations effect the system performance (+/-)?
