effect of keyways on hubs

I think everyone is familiar with the U of Illinois paper The Effect of Keyways on the strength of Shafts (Herbert Moore 1904) but does anyone know of a similar study on the effect of keyways on the hubs?

No, I just buy or copy commercial hubs.

There are currently much better methods available for attaching a hub to a shaft for the purpose of torque transfer. Keys are only useful for providing indexing between the shaft and hub. Attachments that use clamped friction to secure the hub to the shaft are more reliable, produce less stress in the hub and shaft, and are less prone to fretting.
