Hi,

I would appreciate if anyone can give me any information about making an eductor, viz the measurement of the venturi, neck dia etc.

I want to make an eductor working on compressed air to clear liquids spilt.Iam expecting to make an eductor of about 5 inches length, and 10-15mm dia.

Please take a look to:
Pump Handbook
by Igor Karassik, William C. Krutzsch, Warren H.Fraser and Joseph P. Messina (Editors) 2nd Edition
Mc-Graw Hill Book Co.
ISBN 0-07-033302-5
Chapter 4 - Jet Pumps by Alex M.Jumpeter is amazing.
To your question, seems like Fig. 15 (page 4.18) is the answer.
Hope this helps.

Instead of designing your own eductor buy one off the shelf. Schutte & Koerting has a good catalog of which I have purchased many over the years. Don't reinvent the wheel. Try them at 215-639-0900 or

Eductor seems often used for liquid, and transvector, or venturi or ejector is for air or gas. Anyway, as JeffHofacre suggests, go for off-the-shelf products, that you can find suppliers' web sites such as etc. Good to use a search engine, such as Google, and type the nemes you look for.
