I am wondering why so many companies appear to be purchasing Electronic Document Management Systems (sometimes swapping them every year) instead of using simple service providers to handle the scanning and indexing of their hardcopy documentation? I would appreciate any information or opinions on this matter. I am particularily interested in the opinions and views of other people living and working in the UK or the North Sea. Thank you.
