I was unable to find anything in the FAQ's that addressed my question. So here is my question. I have inherited a Solidworks assembly drawing (I am using Solidworks 2005) and this drawing, when I do a "Find References" command, tells me it cannot locate a file name that starts with a tilde and wants me to find it. (The exact file name for clarity here is ~04T110D009-19).
And I am already aware that the tilde prefix means it is a temp file. How the previous drawing owner managed to get it into the references, I do not know.
I am also aware that if it was a typical file that I could actually locate, I could open it and then delete it from the assembly and it would no longer be in the references.
My basic question is this: How do I get into the drawing references and tell the drawing to discard this reference? The file does not exist, and therefore I cannot open the drawing, find where it is used, and delete it.
Thanks in advance for any assistance provided.
