Edit Detail View 1

Is one able to make an existing detail view larger,
ie. increase the size of the boundary circle to
incorporate more information?

Yes, there is an edit view boundry menu. Bu default the boundry is defined automatically, but you can change it to manual.

Yes, you can edit the boundary circle diameter, but the detail's callout circle shown on the parent view will probably get bigger as well.

I usually manually create the detail callout in the parent view then expand the detail, add the appropriate circular view boundary that I want & then edit view boundary & use the view dependent circle as the detail's view boundary. It's a little more work, but I can then control the size of the both the detail view boundary AND the detail callout.

I've since found in the help files something.
Headed: Editing a Circular Detail View Boundary

1. Choose Drawing, Define View Boundary.
2. Select the circular detail view.
3. Select the detail view boundary (or the detail circle on the parent view) and drag it to the desired size.
4. Press MB1 to define the new detail size.

I managed to get to step 2 but step 3, no can do!
Are you familiar with this way and if so what am I doing
wrong because the instructions seem so easy but just don't
work for me!?

When you get to step 2, the view boundary should highlight and the anchor point should show up (be sure you pick the detail view and not the parent view). For step 3 you have to pick the view outline (the curves that actually show up when you plot the drawing). When you pick this, the curve should rubberband and you can drag it and click to select the new size (step 4).
