The NAVFAC (Navy Facilities Design) manuals have a section on foundations for rotating machinery that will tell you how to calculate the load. It is a free download so do a google search and you can find them.

Blodgetts' Design of Welded Structures some discussion on converting horsepower to Torque. The book has the formula;
T = 63,000 x HP/RPM.

For a turbine - generator the support structure was designed for a 10 times Torque Load.
