Hello everyone,
I need to locate the ANSI standard that deals with safety factor of loaded dynamic lifecycle testing of a medical device (think patient lift). EN safety standard would do just as well.

For example, if we advertise the lift as being rated to 100kg, and have determined a minimum lifespan in days usages x usages per day, etc. we now need to determine our test load so we can run the equipment for x number of cycles at the overload factor.

Tons of info on static loading, tipping and stability, etc, but I've not found a single reference to what I'm looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

Got it. ISO 10535:2006 for anyone else who might be looking for the same.
