I am after some info on Dynamic Ecd value to use in ETABS. I may have seen Ecd = 1.35 Ec somewhere in New Zealand concrete code, but unsure where it was from because I have not got the code in front of me now.
I have heard Ec(4700sqrt(fc') or whatever) in ACI is thought to be based on secant modulus of elasticity from static load testing.
Do you guys use dynamic Ecd for ETABS? Can you please direct me to the source, if you do?
The reason I ask is that I am in the process of giving the modal characteristics of the building to the Wind Tunnel Testing guys at present. I noticed that Ecd value can make quite a change in frequency of the building.
Any comments would be appreciated.
