In the old days the Delft Hydraulics Institute in the Netherlands used to do large size check valve testing on pressure loss and dynamic behaviour.

Is there globally ANY test labaratory available that can do dynamic behaviour testing of valves DN 600?

I once saw a DN 250 testing loop at a control (ball) valves Manufacturer’s facility right out of Milan (Italy), where they worked in collaboration with the Engineering Department of the local “Politecnico” University.
Always in Northern Italy, a similar size may be tested also by SIET ( that may deal with high flow rates … by the Power Station nearby.

Perhaps you would find some larger testing loops if you move to NEL in the UK ( for example.

However, I guess that a DN 600 loop would be customized on a single demand basis only…(?)

Maybe you would find some other hints by taking a look at the other testing lab’s listed in thread408-258768 and thread408-114236.

Hope this helps,

Thanks NGiLuzzu!

NEL Scotland can only do pressure loss testing as BHR in the UK or Stuttgart University in Germany or Utah University in the US.
No one can do dynamic testing = water hammer effect simulations on check valves.

Kind regards
