hi guys, i just wanted to ask you about the dynamic behavior of long span steel structure roof, in fact am studying one with 110 m span , my problem is that am having always the 1st mode with Z direction with a 34% of mass participation ! could anyone give us an idea about this kind of structures ????? and if it's OK to have such a behavior ? FYI, the roof is almost circular in shape supported by 6 columns !
