I always thought 'Structural Dynamics, Theory & Computation', by Mario Paz is one of the best texts I have on it.

Mario Paz's book is pretty good. That's probably a good place to start.

I also suggest "The Seismic Design Handbook" edited by Farzad Naeim. I think this might be a slightly better place to start. You should take a look at individual chapters on the topics you need to review, rather than read straight through.

I like Chopra for introductory reading. Clough and Penzien for sure if you're up for the rigor later on. Publication of the latter book has been assumed by CSI I think and, as such, may well be free in PDF format these days. JP will know.

For the basics, there's some very good material for free on a brown engineering class website.

Arghh... you had me going there. I have a hard copy of this one but it's only $45: Link. I'm switching back to skis and figured $950 might almost get me kitted out for next winter.

Introduction to Structural Dynamics by John M. Biggs. There are PDFs floating around online if you can find them.
