DWG file not importing to drawing 1

Hi i have a drawing template created in catia and saved as .dwg. but when i tried to import it to nx, it is imported to 3D.
Does anybody know what i am doind wrong. is there any way to importing it to drawing sheet. thanks in advance

Sounds like there might have been an issue when the Catia model was converted to a .dwg file. Did you try rounding-tripping the .dwg file back into Catia to see what was actually exported and how it gets returned?

Yes, there is no issue with catia. it opened in drawing in catia. issue is only when i importing to NX.

What version of NX? In recent versions there is a dwg/dxf import wizard; specify the dwg file to import and press the "preview" button. If the geometry that you want shows up in the "model" tab, choose the "send model data to: drawing sheet" option. This will create a new drawing sheet in the file and import the geometry directly to it.

In Input and Output tab, should i select Import to Work part or New part?
If i select work part, Highlighted option is not available in options tab

That option only works on new files. If you need to use an existing file, have a look at: thread561-302445

It gives instructions on how to transfer 2D geometry from the modeling application to the drawing sheet.
