Since the release of SolidWorks 2005, we have received a considerable number of requests from our customers for a standalone version of DWGeditor for non-SolidWorks users within the company. In response, SolidWorks has made a change to the SolidWorks Corporation License and Subscription Service Agreement to give Subscription Service customers a license to install and use 3 copies of the DWGeditor software for each license of the SolidWorks software they own. The additional copies of DWGeditor may be installed on any computer within the company, do not require SolidWorks to run, and are ideal for anyone in your company who needs to view or edit DWG files. To download the standalone installation of DWGeditor, go to the SolidWorks 2005 SP2 download area of Subscription Support website at
