I am upgrading my workstation to dell precision T7600. Would like to hear from users on which options to select for processor, video card, and RAM:
processor: one or two Intel® Xeon® Processors E5-2687W (Eight Core, 3.1GHz, 20M, 8.0 GT/s, Turbo+)? [add $2,758.00]
Video card: Nvidia Quadro K5000 or NVIDIA® Quadro® 6000 (6G)? [add $1,792.00]
Ram: 64GB or 128GB, DDR3 RDIMM Memory,1600MHz, ECC (8 x 16GB DIMMs) [add $2,362.50]
I typically work with large assemblies (>500 parts) and have other apps open (like outlook, powerpoint, excel, etc). Current systems
