Dual Grade

What does it mean "dual grade" as a specification for a material requisition?
My customer want me to use AISI 316/316L Dual Grade...but I didn't perfectly got the meaning. Unfortunately my colleagues too, even the material expert. Could you help me out?

In this case the material will meet the more restrictive chemistry of 316L, AND meet he higher mechanical requirements of the straight 316.
