I am trying to calculate the Ca/S ratio for a dry scrubber and need some clarification.

For sulfur, I know the the percentage sulfur in the coal through analysis.

Tons coal x % sulfur x 907184.74 g/ton / 32.0655 g/mol = Moles sulfur

For calcium, I know the amount of CaO in the lime. Would I want to do the same math with 56.0778 g/mol CaO and then multiply by 71.4692% (% Ca in CaO)? Or just leave it as CaO?

Thanks
