Yes, a boron compound, especially if the SS can be seasoned by applying when heated and then cooled for working temperatures (in use will withstand extreme cold and extreme heat), then there is spray on Teflon and DryFilm by DuPont.
Spray-on dry film is what we are going with. We have only found a few that are air cured, versus heat cured. We would rather forego the heat cured type. Finally got lucky with Permaslick-g by EM Coatings. It conforms to at least one mil-spec, which helps.
