One final question hopefully. I have selected Relative density for an output option, but when the cap model finishes running and I choose to plot relative density contours, nothing appears. The values are all zero. The stress distribution works and makes sense. Am I missing something to plot these relative density contours?

Thanks,

Chris

I am not very knowledgeable of Drucker Prager Cap, but
after searching the documentation I think RD makes sense only in context of porous metal plasticity.
Is the density a state variable in Drucker Prager Cap ??

If your density is field dependent you can use the same approach I mentioned before for E and Poisson's ratio.

The density is dependent on the compaction pressure or position...looking around it seems as though I need to calculate this using a user subroutine. however, i have no idea how to do this as i was introduced to abaqus less than a week ago. thanks for all the help xerf,

chris
