Driven Piles on Sloping Rock

I am looking for some information of using drivne piles on sloping rock. I have spoke to a few manufactures of Rock tips which claim the point penitrate into sloping rock, but they cant give me any design limitations. How steep an angle can the tips cut into, does the top of rock have to be wheathered, how much overburen is needed to prevent skipping off? My project has limstone dipping at a 3H:1 slope with 20 feet of clay overlying the rock. Does anyone know of any projects where rock points have worked?

Perhaps you should consider prebore? This way you can achieve some penetration into rock. Another possibility is to excavate and bench the material. 20' is not a significant depth in my opinion.

Peck, Hansen and Thorburn notes 5-10% out of vertical alignment as well as slight curvature free of sharp bends doesn't affect load capacity. However, with respect to curvature this might bring up the question of what is slight.
