one shaft(6") horizontal to one shaft(40ft) vertical to one shaft(8") horizontal to a large gear to a smaller gear mounted on shaft of permenant magnent alternator,,,, trying to build a wind turbine to generate power, the alternator can handle 18000 rpm and the wind blades max is 1000 rpm,,,, seems like there is are a thousand ways to engineer this, I was trying to get some suggestions on the best way to set this up. Any comments will be welcomed...
