Considering it is a logistical nightmare and almost a practical impossibility, are there other reasons why the exterior shell of a double-integrity API-620 tank is not hydrostatically tested?
I am imagining that it could one day be the only thing holding say 50,000 tonnes of liquid NH3, should that inner tank fail!
