Hi friends.,

I am modeling a door lifting mechanism. It consist of a door, steel wire, pulley and counter weight.
I am struck up, while designing the steel wire. How to make it and make the mechanism work.i.e while lifting the door, the cable should move over the pulley, the counterweight connected at the other end of wire should go down and the pulley should rotate.

can any one guide me so that i can learn.

regards.,

You can do this in Wildfire 5.0 where belt has been introduced. Till WF 4.0 belt was not in MDX or MDO.

MDO is an add-on but not alternative of ADAMS/ SIMPACK /or LMS VirtualLabwhich are dedicated dynamic software.

Again those mentioned are dedicated for dynamics and for FEM the dedicated software are ABAQUS/ ANSYS /NASTRAN

ProE is ofcourse dedicated for modeling and competitor of CATIA /UG NX and may be their children SOLIDWORKS and SOLID EDGE respectively.

I hope this info will be liked by many here.
