Dear Seniors,

I have designed lot of fixed cone roof storage tanks as per API 650. Recent past one of my customer asking dome roof storage tank for storing of palm oil. Now my question is for which type of applications dome roof will be preferable? What will be the major difference between dome roof and fixed roof tanks

A dome roof is also a fixed roof design, but with a different shape than a cone roof.
For larger diameter fixed roof tanks it is more economical to use a dome roof.
