Does NX have post weld machining modeling tools?

I'm using NX 8.5. I have an assembly that will be a weldment. I would like to insert that assembly into a new file that will contain the post weld machining operations that need to be done to the weldment. In my post weld machining file how do I:
1) Drill one hole all the way through two or more parts that have been welded together without having to create multiple sketchs and place multiple holes on individual parts separately?

2) Machine the surface of multiple faces on separate parts at once without having to sketch-extrude on each individual part?

I have tried "promote body". This function breaks the link to the weldment file and leaves it as-is while I change it in the post weld machining file. However, it does not allow me to do the two requests stated above.

Are there anyother options that will allow me to accomplish the two requests?

There is something called assembly cut for the holes
You may want to use you command finder to find that command and see if that will help you
I really don't know if you need to promote the bodies to use it.

Just figured out that if I promote all the bodies in the post weld machining model (rather than just the ones I want to machine), then unite all the bodies I get what I want. As long as this approach does not effect the ability to properly ballon the assembly at the weldment level, this may be a reasonable solution.

Thanks Jerry! I will try that too.
