I am looking for publications J.H. Neher made in the 50's.

e.g.

The Temperature Rise of Buried Cables and Pipes, J.H. Neher
Ibid., vol. 68, pt. I, 1949, pp.9-21.

& also

The Temperature Rise of Cables in a Duct Bank, J.H. Neher
Ibid., pp. 540-49.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

When citing source references the writer will often give the book or magazine name the first it is used but to save space will substitute "Ibid" for subsequent references (I think Ibid is Latin for same). So wherever Ibid appears it means the the publication has been listed already. Try looking through the document that you got your references from and see if there is one with complete details rather than Ibid.
On the internet I found several references to a paper co-written by J.H. Neher and published in 1957 by the AIEE (now IEEE), so the information you are looking for may be an old IEEE paper too. It was called "The Calculation of the Temperature Rise and Load Capability of Cable Systems, by J. H. Neher and M. H. McGrath, AIEE Paper 57-660".

Hope this helps.

The classic Neher-McGrath paper is included when you buy the IEEE Standard Power Cable Ampacity Tables (standard number escapes me at the moment).
