DLR network of AB Contrologix

We use AB Contrologix with DLR network. We have assigned IP addresses on to the DLR network from the same VLAN of the level 2 network. Our level 2 network connects the PLCs to the FTViewSE Server and outside world.

The above configuration works, but we are aware that the DLR is a separate network and worried that there is an impact to the network because of this design. If there is we like to know what so we can mitigate or be aware of it. The plants are in operation so changes (depends on impact) has to be planned.
