Hello.

Software: ACAD 2005/2006

Situation: We divide say 100ft of wall and add undersizing ie. 3/16". Basically when I divide a line and try and dimension the nodes some of the dims are slightly different. Ie 7/16" or 5/8" or something like that. When I used the distance command every node is exact. We have our units precesion of the drawing set up to 1/256".

What controls this? Is it the Round off or the Precision in the dim style?

Our dim style is set to 1/16" precision (which we want to show on the drawings) and roundoff 0" which I'm not sure is correct.

When we dimension stuff up I want everything to be exact but when the dimension shows it displays on to the 1/16"?

Anyone help on this?

Thanks

You might want to check your osnap
or snap settings.

For example, if you have 'near' set as a running osnap, it can drive you crazy with imprecision.

I found out my problem. My Roundoff was set to 0" instead of 1/256" Everything works great now

thanks
