Divert well water and tie back into same header

We have a well water system that flows through the plant and then goes back into the ground (injection well). Can we divert part of the flow to a heat exchanger using a booster pump, and then tie this back into the same header? Would this be highly illegal, slightly unorthodox or perfectly ok? On another note, what are the thoughts on using a circuit setter instead of a booster pump?

Not sure what you mean by illegal but yes you could do this with a booster pump. This is done all the time in hydronic circuits.

A circuit setter or control valve (located in the main header between the two branches) would also work to force flow through the side loop but this would add pressure drop to your main header.

You extract waste from a well, do something with it? then dispose off it down an injection well, into an oil or gas reservoir?

That snapshot is meaningless.

Draw or sketch a bigger flow diagram please.

What is acircuit setter?

I can't see any big issues in injecting warm wage, but your regulator might.
