I am looking for a discussion on the "best" location for mounting a dissolved oxygen monitor on a generator stator cooling system (water with low dissolved oxygen in a closed loop with make up water from a tank - as the loop is not fully sealed). The point of the dissolved oxygen monitor is to trend dissolved oxygen and thus the potential formation of copper oxides that may plug pipes or significantly reduce heat transfer. Alarms will be set at 20 ppb and 50 ppb, but I am still debating on the "best" location in the loop for its location. If anyone has experience with dissolved oxygen meters (and types of sensors best for reading dissolved oxygen in the presence of hydrogen) operating experience would be appreciated. NOTE EPRI reports have been reviewed, now I need details!
