Display State name

Is there a way to hide or turn off the display state name field that usually show as <Display State-1> for all configurations of an assembly. We seldom use display states and would rather not see the display state name field unless we actually create a display state.

I don't know of a way to hide it, but you can rename it to something less "obtrusive" ... like A or B, etc.
