Hey Need some help here.

The above DIN 5480 spline
18 T
2 MOD
30 Deg PA
MOW =45.122-45.045mm
wire or ball=4,500

Please advise if the major & minor dia are correct.

customer has TIP Dia : 39,60 mm
Root Dia : 35.60mm
effective root : 35.581mm-35.494mm
whole depth : .200mm

I get a Tip Dia of 38.6 mm
whole depth of 2.300 mm

also does the above MOW look correct.

Thanks

Your customer's data is correct.
WD is obviously 2mm +, not 0.20mm.
I get a slightly different tolerance for MOP 45.098 - 45.055.
Not much difference but it may be important.
I can post a data sheet if you like.

mfgenggear - On your print should be a description like:
DIN 5480 - 40 x 2 x 30 x 18 x 8f (or any other tol.)
DIN 5480 - dia. x modul x deg. x Nr. teeth x tol.
If you do this type of work I would advise you to get a complete copy of DIN 5480 in English from: Talk to them and ask for a copy in English. Juergen

Thank you for your reply.

I normally work with ANSI splines
This is a first for me.
I have the DIN Specs Part 1 & 2

Thanks & Take Care

Thanks you gear cutter.

I see the root dia is different
my customer has 35.581-35.494 mm

my tool cutter expert said it should be approx. 34.938mm
which falls into your size.

I will have to have a hob modified to cut their root.

Thanks again
