Does anyone knows how does a metric system call out a pipe size? Example: is it 50mm (for 1/2") or simply 50? Thanks for a help.

Fritz!

The other nomenclature for piping and their equivalent nomenclature is as below.

1/2" - 15NB (not 50)
3/4" - 20NB
1" - 25NB
1.5" - 40NB
2" - 50NB
3" - 80NB
4" - 100NB and with each 1" increment you have to add up 25 the other side.

Is this what you asked for?[ponder]
