Hi,
I was referring to one of the drawing. This is a continuous extruded part made up of plastic. Part is flexible in nature. Please refer to the attached drawing. The following questions came to my mind.

1) To establish datum-A, do we need to hold the part for entire length? (The length of the part is 4000mm)
I felt which is not practical. Hope this should be called for across cross sections. What is your opinion on this?

2) Also the angularity controls should call for across cross sections. (Since the part is flexible)

Is there any better way to dimension the extruded parts like this? Can anyone help me please.

Drawing is as per ISO std.
