Hello,

In a part that i have designed there are 4 chamfers. In a third angle drawing, i can only see 2 of the chamfers in the top view and the other two in the front view.
Can i use a repeated dimension ( 4X 10 X 45 Degree symbol) in one of the view? Or should i dimension the chamfer in each view?

thank you in advance for your help.

So long as it is clear then you'll get away with the 4X call out on one view even though you can only see 2 in that view and the other 2 in anotehr view.

If it's a complex or otherwise potentially confusing drawing that's when you'll want to be more explicit.

The confusion and lost productive time caused by the lack of detail is more costly than adding the detail to the drawing.
