How can the diffuser in pump convert velocity to pressure? Increasing of cross section of flow? is this along with energy loss?

velocity is converted into pressure (like Bernoulli says).

Let your acquaintances be many, but your advisors one in a thousand’ ... Book of Ecclesiasticus

dH = dV^2/2/g

Figure V on the tangential velocity of the pump, then slow it down to normal pipe velocities.

What diffuser?

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

diffuser after the impeller of the pump...for converting of velocity to pressure it must be change the area (A) for changing the V and then change P?
is it true?
increase A ----- decreasing V ---- and so ---increase P

why we must change the velocity to pressure in pump by diffuser ?
pressure have more problem in contrast with velocity..?

my English language is so bad and I am sorry for that.

Yes, just like Bernoulli predicted.

Which Bernoulli? There were brothers weren't they? And, wasn't there also a cousin? Or am I just dreaming about that?

Chemical321, you do know the Bernoulli brothers, don't you?

Chenical321,

Agree with you, but can you find a way to store velocity energy?

How else can you convert velocity into pressure?
