We are running 3D Lightyear from 3dsystems as our sla preparation software.
Has anyone ever tried using different layer thickness in the same build?
For example say I want the first 50 mm to be with 0,15 mm and the rest with 0,1 mm.
Can this be done and how? Does one need also to edit the support build styles?

Thanks

I haven't used the software you name, but if I wanted to accomplish that with my home 3D printer I would manually combine the GCODE files in notepad. If the layer boundary was not exactly at the right height (say switching from .15 to .1 layers at a height of .45 mm, I would probably "trick" the printer by reseting the Z height to .5 after I finished the 0.45 layer (G92 Z0.5).
