I am designing a 3 inch diesel fuel transfer system for a vessel and would like to know the type and models used aboard offshore supply vessels. I'm considering a 4x3 ANSI pump, but am curious about a PD pump style such as sliding vane or internal gear. Can anyone give me some additional guidance or help with specs? Pump will have plenty of NPSH until the last tank is almost empty, then will have suction lift of approx 1 meter.
