I am wondering if anyone can please outline the procedure for calculating the diaphragm force and designing the dragstruts/tension ties at re-entrant corners on wood frame buildings? I am loking for a simple example, one story, L shaped building.
Thanks

See Don Breyer's book "Design of Wood Structures" chapter 16.

The basic approach is that you divide the building into two or more seperate rectanglular diaphragms. At the reentrant corner drag struts collect the shear from the unsupported edge of the diaphragms.
