Dialog Boxes Gone

Anyone ever had the dialog boxes decide not to pop up anymore? I was working on a model and tryed to shell part of it. When I pushed the shell button, the dialog box did not come up. All the options are at the bottom on the command line. All functions still work, but the dialog boxes don't come up. I have no idea what I pushed to make this happen. Any help in getting the windows back will be appreciated.

Yeah I don't why this command reset itself but you got to enter in the command line "CMDDIA" and set it to 1 then your problem will be resolve. Because sometimes this command turn to 0 with no reason.
