Dear all,
We have transformer 2500kva and just test transformer with dga and oil analysis, the problem is the dga result is indicating slight overheating 150-300 degree celcius the standard suggest us to retest dga within 6 month..the problem is the BDV result is 22 kv/2.5mm, so is it ok if we do purifiying (offline) to increase the bdv value?because if we wait for 6 month i'm afraid the bdv would be very low in the next 6 month..need advise on this.. Thank you

do you have any history of the oil tests. Higher temps can cause the cellulose to break down - moisture is a byproduct.
